Amelia Wan (Coxmoor) wins the Midland U21 Girls Closed Amateur Championship at Stoke Rochford on 3rd July 2025 with a 1 under Par total of 215 and a 7-shot lead over runner up Jorja Newbold (Oakmere Park Admirals). Imogen Hall (South Kyme) led after the first round with a 72 matched by Jorja Newbold with Amelia Wan and Neve Begley (Woodhall Spa) just 1 shot off the pace and Eva Myers (Chesterfield) on 74.
The second round started late in the afternoon with strong winds off the left for the first hole provided a challenge to all the players. Amelia Wan improve on her first-round score with a 72 to take the lead. Jorja Newbold held on in second place with a 76 with Imogen Hall and Neve Begley finishing with 78 and 77 respectively to tie third. Madeleine Smith (Norwood Park) followed her 78 with a 73 to close in on the leading pack and Eva Myers (Chesterfield) just one shot back on 152.
Into the final round early on Thursday morning with a warm sun and a gentle breeze helped the players for their final round. Amelia Wan carded a 70 to push ahead of the field to finish on 215. Yet again Jorja Newbold finished as runner up on 222 with Madeliene Smith just one shot back on 223 with a final round 72. Eva Myers pushed through the chasing pack with a 72 to finish on 224 and a 4th place finish. Early leader, Imogen Hall, faded slightly with a 75 to finish 5th on 225 and Neve Begley one further back on 226 for 6th place. 7th was Olivia Hollyoak-Church (Northamptonshire County) on 231 with 8th place, Chloe Williamson (Trentham) finishing on 235. Emelia Roach (Ashby Decoy) took 9th place on 238. Tied 10th was Emily Wolverson (The Leicestershire) and Edie Speirs (Cosby) on 242.
Best Nett over the three rounds was Chloe Williamson on 220 taking the title on countback over Neve Begley.
