Derbyshire win Midland U16 Boys County Cup at The Manor Golf Club
The Manor (Kingstone)GC welcomed sixty boys from the ten Midlands Counties for the 2024 Midland Boys U16 County Cup. This is a team event, with each counties best five gross scores counting towards the team total.
The day saw some excellent golf with several early low scores. The best gross score on the day came from Rhys Harper (Derbyshire) with 69, narrowly beating his team mate Harry Midgley who scored 70 with fellow team mate Jack Guy scoring 72 along with George Emmerson and Leon Devito both from Lincolnshire also scoring 72.
The team event was won by a very strong Derbyshire team with a total of 367 +12, beating Shropshire & Herefordshire into second place with 378 + 23.
An excellent day with an excellent host in The Manor (Kingstone) GC, who ensured the day ran smoothly.
