Scott Frisby (Lincolnshire) wins Midland Junior Champion of Champions at Stourbridge Golf Club.
Stourbridge Golf Club welcomed the Boys who had qualified for the Midland Boys Junior Champion of Champions competition. These are the boys who were their County U14/U16/U18 Champions.
The weather leading up to the event had been heavy rain and thunder and lightening, however, although the weather on the day wasn't very good with rain on and off during the day the golf course held up exceeding well and was playable for all 36-holes.
Joshua Gardner (Coventry GC) was the first round leader with an excellent gross 68, closely followed by Mark Hewlett Jnr (Worcester G&CC) with a gross 69.
The excellent scoring continued for the second round, with several sub par rounds. Scott Frisby (Thonock Park GC) returned the best of the day gross 67 to claim the U18 and overall Champion of Champions titles with a 36-hole gross score of 139 (72,67) with William Psenko (Sherwood Forest GC) second best gross on 142 (72.70), he also won the U14 and U16 titles.
An excellent day and a big well done to all the players and parents who braved the weather and to Stourbridge Golf Club who provided an excellent test of golf under the weather conditions that had many golf courses closed.
