Qualification is by winning Junior County Championship competition. The event will be a 36 hole medal on Sunday 9th September 2018 at Newark Golf Club in Nottinghamshire.

THE EVENT
Title: Midland Junior County Champion of Champions
Format: 36-hole scratch medal
Starting Times: 8.00am & 1.00pm
Tees: 1st & 10th
Time course closed to members: All day until last group are clear
CATERING
Meal Tickets where appropriate will be issued to the competitors.
Players lunch of soup and sandwiches with a glass of squash between rounds
Players tea of Chicken/Ham & Leek pie & chips with a glass of squash will be provided at the completion of round 2
Bacon rolls & coffee/Tea will be available from 7:00am onward for £3.50 (Cash sale only)
All other foods ordered from the bar menu are on a cash sale basis.
The Club House will open at 6:30am
DRESS REGULATIONS
Clubhouse: Smart casual. – no waterproofs, no golfing gear. (soft spikes allowed)
Course: Normal golfing attire, No shorts for boys
Mobile Phones The use of mobile phones on the course and within the club house is not permitted unless used in the case of an emergency. All phones must be kept on silent mode.
MGU ADMINISTRATION
The MGU registration desk will be located within the Main Lounge near patio doors.
The MGU scoreboard will be positioned at the end of main lounge and leaderboard will be available to view on the MGU website
HEALTH & SAFETY
First Aid: Various members of staff are trained and will be available on the day.
There are some shelters on the course in the event of a storm
In the event of thunder and lightning the MGU have a klaxon and will take responsibility: MGU storm monitor & hand-held klaxons. Club hand held and fixed klaxons
THE COURSE
Tees to be used: White(Boys) and Red (Girls)
A Pin position chart will be provided to all competitors at the MGU registration desk
Yardage Markers on the course are posts at 150 yards to centre of greens plus discs at 250 yards, 200 yards, 150 yards and 100 yards to centre of greens.
PRACTICE
Limited tee times will be available in the afternoon of 8th September for distant counties. All others at times up to 3 weeks in advance of the competition. All bookings to be through Newark Golf Club Proshop and are subject to availability.
