invites the Senior Amateur Golfers of the County Unions of Cambridgeshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire, Shropshire & Herefordshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire, and Worcestershire to participate in the Midland Senior Championship.

Entrants must have attained the age of 55 years on or before the day of the Championship. Hold a CONGU ‘active’ handicap and the limit will be 7 for Age Group 55-59; 8 for 60-64; 11 for 65-69; 12 for 70-74; and 15 for age 75 and over.

Entry Fee £35 per player. Club Team £10.00 per pair (optional)

CLOSING DATE: Noon on Friday 24th June 2016

Entry fee will not be returned for any withdrawal after closing date.

Registration:

MGU Registration desk will be in the lobby off the patio.

Catering:

The kitchen will be open from 7:30am for the sale of Bacon Rolls & coffee for £4.00 or a full english breakfast for £7.00 on a cash sale basis.

Practice:

The club has kindly agreed to a practice round for competitors at a rate of £10.00. All others, guests, caddies etc will be expected to pay a green fee applicable on the day. All practice round should be booked through the Pro Shop. Practice rounds are excluded on Tuesday morning, all day Wednesday and all day Saturday.

Dress regulations:

Clubhouse: Smart casual, collared shirts (No jeans, trainers or waterproofs)

Course: Normal golfing attire, tailored shorts with white sport socks (no trainer/ankle socks).

SAFETY AND SECURITY

Procedure for suspension of play for any reason will be issued with the scorecard.

Please be vigilant with security of your golf equipment and your personal effects as neither The Worcestershire Golf Club nor the Midland Golf Union Ltd can accept any responsibility for theft or accident. Competitors are strongly advised to have their own insurance cover.

DMD’s & MOBILE PHONES

Only DMD’s that calculate distance are permitted.  Those providing other information such as wind speed, elevation, temperature etc are NOT permitted. If, during a ‘stipulated round’ a player fails to comply with these conditions, the player is in breach of Rule 14.3 for which the penalty is disqualification. Mobile phones are allowed on the course but should be switched off and only used in an emergency.
