invites the Senior Amateur Golfers of the County Unions of Cambridgeshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire, Shropshire & Herefordshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire, and Worcestershire to participate in the Midland Senior Spring Meeting.

Entrants must have attained the age of 55 years on or before the day of the Championship. Hold a CONGU ‘active’ handicap and the limit will be 12. The age group categories will be defined when the entry list is complete.

Entry Fee to be confirmed per player.

Entries close Monday 20th April 2013.

Entry fee will not be returned for any withdrawal after closing date.

Online entries are not available for this competition. All entries should be on the entry form and posted to Brian Morris, MGU Senior Organiser.

REGISTRATION

The MGU desk will be situated in the Terrace Bar.

CATERING

Coffee/Tea/Bacon rolls at £4.50 will be available from 7:30 onward.

Two course carvery. Meal tickets will be provided for those competitors who have included a meal with the competition entry.

Other bar meals available on cash sale basis.

DRESS

Clubhouse:  Smart casual (no jeans, trainers or waterproofs).

Course:  Normal golfing attire, No Shorts

Practice

The Notts Golf Club have agreed to allow one practice round per competitor (confirmed entries only) at £25 green fee (50% reduction in standard rate) excluding Friday mornings and all day Saturday.

SAFETY AND SECURITY

Procedure for suspension of play for any reason will be issued with the scorecard.

Please be vigilant with security of your golf equipment and your personal effects as neither The Notts Golf Club nor the Midland Golf Union Ltd can accept any responsibility for theft or accident. Competitors are strongly advised to have their own insurance cover.

DMD’s & MOBILE PHONES

Only DMD’s that calculate distance are permitted.  Those providing other information such as wind speed, elevation, temperature etc are NOT permitted. If, during a ‘stipulated round’ a player fails to comply with these conditions, the player is in breach of Rule 14.3 for which the penalty is disqualification. Mobile phones are allowed on the course but should be switched off and only used in an emergency.
