The Competition is open to Girls with an amateur status who are under the age of 16 on 1st January 2026 and hold a WHS handicap index of 11.4 or under, and whose “Home Club” is affiliated to an English County Golf Union.

The top three Girls will receive handicap exemption into the English Girls U16 Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship at The Gog Magog Golf Club on 18th to 20th August 2026

Entry Fee £75.00 – Which includes a snack lunch on Thursday and a meal after golf on Friday.

All players will play 36 holes on Thursday 9th April (18 holes on Championship and 18 holes on the Hawkstone Course) Top 50% after 36 holes (above the cut line) then play a further 18 holes on the championship course on Friday 10th April 2026. The remaining 50% (below the cut line) play a 18 hole stableford on the Hawkstone course on Friday.

There are two starting points on each course so the first round could be at any one of four starting positions.

JUSTIN ROSE TELEGRAPH JUNIOR GOLF CHAMPIONSHIPS

Round 1 scores will be a qualifier for the Justin Rose Telegraph Junior Golf Championships.

PRACTICE ROUNDS:

All practice rounds to be booked through the Midland Golf Union - contact secretary@midlandgolfunion.co.uk

The official practice round is on Wednesday 8th April 2026 between 13:10 and 14:50 by application through the Midland Golf Union – An additional practice round is available on Tuesday 7th April. A Fee of £30.00 applies.

Practice rounds at any other day/time will be subject to a green fee of £45.00 per person on the Championship Course and £45.00 per person on the Hawkstone Course.

RESERVES:

There will be a limit of 117 entries total (Boys and Girls). The number of boys and number of girls awarded a place will be based on the percentage of total entries from each gender. The remaining players will be placed on reserve and will be offered a place in the order shown as soon as something becomes available if anyone allocated a starting place withdraws.

The reserve list is based on current handicap and the place on the reserve list will not change even if your handicap changes between now and the competition date.
