Midland Closed: The Midland Closed Amateur Champion will gain a free entry into the Midland Open Amateur Championship. Second and third place will gain a handicap exemption into the Midland Open.
In the event of the competition entry list exceeding 60 players and ties at the closing date a handicap ballot will take place and all players below the line will be placed on reserve. The order will be based on handicap at 8th June and a list published on this competition page. Places will be offered in the order listed as vacancies occur.

Players will be issued with a lunch ticket after round as part of the entry fee.
Other food will be available on the day on a cash sale basis
Clubhouse: No golf shoes (except spike bar), no waterproofs, no headgear.
Course: Normal golfing attire. Tailored shorts with sport socks allowed.
The MGU registration desk will be in the main lounge.
Scores will be displayed on the live leaderboard in the main lounge.
Play will be from the white tees.
All players will be provided with a pin position chart
White posts are situated 150 yards from centre of greens with disc in the fairways at 200, 150 and 100 yards to centre of greens.
Practice rounds will be available after the competition closing date and will be subject to availability. Practice rounds for competitors only at £10.00 per round. All others are required to pay a green fee appropriate for the day. All practice rounds to be booked directly with Proshop. Not available am Saturday or am Sunday.

There is a public right of way to side of 18th hole, also 16th and 17th holes
