Frazer Jones retains Midland Boys Closed Amateur Championship title.

Frazer Jones (Kirby Muxloe) retained the Midland Boys Closed Amateur Championship at Northampton Golf Club with rounds of 69 and 69 for a 6 under par total. Both Frazer and runner-up Lennon Albans (Hollinwell) with two rounds of 70, earned a place in the English U18 Boys Championship (Carris Trophy) as a result of their success in the Midland Championship.

Third place Charlie Box (Kirby Muxloe) on 141 had earned a place in the Carris Trophy courtesy of the win last week in the Bob Howell Trophy at the Midland Youths. Oliver Toyer (St. Neots) equally the 141 by Charlie Box. Fifth place Quinn Tinkler (Marriott Breadsall Priory) on 142 and Hollinwell’s William Burbidge a further shot back on 143. 7th place on 145 was Oliver Neal (Balborough Links), with Joshua Gardner (Coventry) on 146, Ryan Gavin (Coventry) ands Jack Peters (Northamptonshire County) completed the top ten on 147.

The John Preston Memorial Trophy winner (U16) was won by Joshua Gardner on 146 with Fynn Colley (Market Harborough) on 150, just 2 shots ahead of Harry Sherriff (The Gog Magog) and Jack Guy (Marriott Breadsall Priory).
