Title: EG County Championships – Midland Qualifying            

Format: 36 Holes scratch medal. All six scores to count

Number of competitors: 10 teams of 6

Starting Times: 8.00am & 1.15pm

Tees: 1st and 10th tee at 10 minute intervals

Time course closed to members: Friday between 12:00 and 15:30

All day Saturday until 18:00

EG Men’s County Championship (Midland Qualifying): The leading individual 36-hole score will gain a handicap exemption into the England Golf Brabazon Trophy.

PRACTICE

The official practice round on Friday 21st June is to be booked by each county direct with Neil Harris (MGU) and the start sheet will be posted n the MGU website. A green fee will apply at £18.00 per player at any other time and is to be booked directly with the Proshop.

CATERING

Players and officials will be issued with MGU meal tickets.

Players and officials (where appropriate) will be provided with a lunch between rounds and a players tea after round 2.

All other food to be on a cash sale basis.

 

Breakfast option for teams on 22nd June from 7:00am – cost to be advised and all to be pre-ordered.

Team meals also available on 21st June – cost to be advised and all to be pre-ordered.

DRESS REGULATIONS

Clubhouse: Smart casual, no waterproofs, no trainers, no golf shoes

Course:  Normal golfing attire, Tailored shorts allowed with white sport socks

 

MGU ADMINISTRATION

The MGU registration desk will be located in the main lounge bar area

Players will be issued with a MGU tear off strip score card on registration.

Local rules/temporary local rules: EG hard card + any local rules on the day

 

HEALTH & SAFETY

First Aid: Green keepers, bar staff, office staff.           

There are wooden shelters on the course  at 1st and 10th tees   

In the event of thunder and lightning the MGU has a klaxon and will take responsibility: MGU hand held klaxons and storm monitor. Club have building mounted klaxons

 

THE COURSE

Tees to be used: White (measured course).

Players will be provided with a pin positions chart on registration.

There are yardage markers on the course with discs to centre of green at 200, 150 and 100 yards. The club operate a coloured flag system of Red (front), Yellow (middle) and White (back).

Out of Bounds is defined by white posts and all perimeter fencing
