Title: Midland Closed Amateur Championship                                                                                                                      Format: 36-hole scratch medal                                                                                                        

Number of competitors: 60 and ties

Starting Times: 8.00am and 1.15pm (at 10 minute intervals)

Tees: 1st & 9th                                                                                                                                   

Time course closed to members: All Day until approx 5pm

Midland Closed: The Midland Closed Amateur Champion will gain a free entry into the Midland Open Amateur Championship. Second and third place will gain a handicap exemption into the Midland Open.

RESERVES:

The following players have been placed on the reserve list based on handicap order and will be contacted as soon as a place becomes available. Places will be offered in the order shown. A full refund will be offered to all players who are not offered a place as soon as possible after the completion of the championship.

CATERING

Players will be issued with a lunch ticket after round as part of the entry fee.

Other food will be available on the day on a cash sale basis

Bacon roll & coffee from 6:30am at £5.50 each

Evening meals will be available up to 9pm

 

DRESS REGULATIONS

Clubhouse: No golf shoes (except spike bar), no waterproofs, no headgear.

Course: Normal golfing attire. Tailored shorts with sport socks allowed.

 

MGU ADMINISTRATION

The MGU registration desk will be located in the lounge bar.

Score Cards. MGU tear off strip cards on registration desk.

Local rules/temporary local rules: EG hard card + any local rules on the day

Course planners are available at a cost of £2.50

 

THE COURSE – The Lodge

Tees to be used: White (on stones – measured course)

Players will be provided with a pin position chart

Yardage Markers on the course: Discs at 150 yards to centre of green                    

External OOB White posts to perimeter of course

 

PRACTICE

Practice rounds will be available after the competition closing date and will be subject to availability. Practice rounds for competitors only at £25.00 per round. All others are required to pay a green fee appropriate for the day. All practice rounds to be booked directly with Proshop.

There are various wooden shelters on the course.

In the event of thunder and lightning the MGU has a klaxon and will take responsibility: MGU hand held klaxons and storm monitor. Club have hand held klaxons.
