Title: Midland Mid Amateur Open Championship     

Format: 36-hole scratch medal.       

Number of competitors: 60 and ties (66 maximum)

Starting Times: 8am & 1:15pm       

Tees: 1st & 9th (at 10-minute intervals)

Time course closed to members: All day (1st hole should be available after 5pm)

 

Midland Mid-Amateur Open Championship: The Midland Mid-Amateur Open Champion gains handicap exemption into the England Golf Logan Trophy.

CATERING

A bacon sandwich and coffee will be provided for all players on arrival

A lunch of Ham Egg and chips will be provided between rounds

Hot food from the bar menu will be available after the second round on a cash sale basis.

 

DRESS REGULATIONS

Clubhouse: Smart casual, collared shirts (No waterproofs, no spiked golf shoes)

Course: Normal golfing attire, Tailored shorts with sport socks.

 

MGU ADMINISTRATION

Locality of desk:  Entrance lobby – all players to register on arrival

Score Cards: MGU tear off strip cards

Local rules/temporary local rules: EG hard card + any local rules on the day

 

THE COURSE

Tees to be used: White (Measured course)

Pin position chart: Will be provided to all players at registration.

Yardage Markers on the course: Posts at 150 yards to centre of greens                   

               

PRACTICE

The club has kindly agreed to allow one practice round for competitors for a green fee of £20 All others will be asked to pay a green fee applicable on the day. Practice rounds are only available from 6th May onward.

 

HEALTH & SAFETY

Players should be aware there is a bell for safety reasons on 7th Hole, 10th Hole and 14th Hole.

There are public rights of way crossing the course on 2nd, 1st, 16th and 18th Holes.

First Aid: Between 4 and 12 staff on site       

There is a wooden shelter on the course by the 8^th hole.

In the event of thunder and lightning the MGU has a klaxon and will take responsibility: MGU hand held klaxons and storm monitor.  Roof mounted klaxons provided by the club.
