THE MIDLAND SENIOR CLUB TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

Entrants must have attained the age of 55 years on or before the day of the Championship. Hold a CONGU ‘active’ handicap and the limit will be 7 for Age Group 55-59; 8 for 60-64; 11 for 65-69; 12 for 70-74; and 15 for age 75 and over.

Entry fee for the Midland Amateur Championship (36 holes) will be £45.00 per player.

Entry fee for the Midland Senior Summer Tournament (18 holes) will be £35 per player.

Entry fee for the Midland Senior Club Team Championship will be £10.00 per pair (optional) pay on the day.

CLOSING DATE: Noon on MONDAY 9th JULY 2018

Entry fee will not be returned for any withdrawal after closing date.

THE EVENT

MGU Senior Amateur Championship & MGU Senior Summer Tournament

Format: 36-hole scratch medal (Championship) 18-hole medal (Senior Summer Tournament)

Number of competitors: Max 120

Starting Times: 18th July Day 1 – 2:00pm at 10-minute intervals (last tee time 4pm)

19th July Day 2 - 8:30am at 10-minute intervals

Starting Tees: 1st Tee

Time course closed to members: 1:30pm on 18^th July and 8:00am on 19^th July to 30 minutes after last tee time each day

 

CATERING

Meal Tickets will be provided to all players as appropriate.

Coffee and bacon roll will be available on arrival for the players competing in the Amateur Championship on 18th July.

A two course hot meal will be provided for all players on 19th July.

Bacon rolls and coffee will be available on arrival on 19th July at a cost of £4.00 on a cash sale basis.

If meals are required on the evening of 18th July they must be pre-ordered and are on a cash sale basis.

 

DRESS REGULATIONS 

Clubhouse: Smart casual, collared shirts (No waterproofs, no cap, no golf shoes)

Course: Normal golfing attire, tailored shorts with sport socks.

 

MGU ADMINISTRATION

The MGU registration desk will be located in the First floor lounge       

The scores will be displayed on the MGU scoreboard in the First floor lounge and on the MGU website.      

Course planners are available at a cost of £4.00

 

HEALTH & SAFETY

First Aid: Club defibrillator available. Trained staff: Mandi Quinton, Chris Hodges, Angie Tomley & Calum Lainsbury

Players should be aware of deep ponds around the course.

 

CAR PARKING 

Ample parking available on site

 

THE COURSE

White Tees will be used on both days.

A Pin position chart will be provided to players each day

Yardage Markers on the course are discs in fairway at 250 yards, 200 yards, 150 yards and 100 yards along with posts at 150 yards all to centre of greens.

There may be spotters on the course at the 10^th hole

There are public rights of way around the course which competitors should be aware of.

 

PRACTICE

The club have kindly agreed to one courtesy practice round per competitor only. Practice rounds are not available Tuesday morning or up to 11:00am on Thursdays. All tee times to be booked through the Proshop. Practice rounds are only available after the competition closing date.
