PRACTICE ROUND

The club has kindly agreed a courtesy Practice Round, practice is only available by arrangement with the Pro shop.

REGISTRATION,

The MGU Desk will be situated in the entrance lobby, administered by officers of the Midland Golf Union.

All scores will be recorded and displayed on the main screen situated in the main bar.   

REFEREE

Referees will be in attendance on the course

STARTERS AND SPOTTERS

CATERING

Bacon Roll and drinks will be available from 9:00am at £3.00 on a cash sale basis.

A player’s tea will be provided (Burger & chips plus squash), for all competitors from 2:30pm onwards.

Players will be issued with a meal token on completion of their round. Two additional meal tickets will be provided to county officials. Further tickets can be purchased from the MGU at a cost of £3.50

An invitation is extended to the club captain and club president for an official lunch with the M.G.U. President and Chairman.

DRESS

Clubhouse: Smart casual at all times.  Collar and tie for prize-winners.

Shoes must be stored in the changing rooms and no water-proofs in the club house

Course: Normal golf attire.  No shorts are allowed.

STARTING TIMES

The matches will commence from the 1^st tee at 10:00am.  (Players should be on the tee and ready to play 5 minutes before their allotted time).  The referees will monitor the playing time schedule. 

DISTANCE MEASURING DEVICES AND ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS

As per last year the MGU will follow EG Conditions. DMDsthat calculate DISTANCE ONLY are permitted. Penalty for breach of this condition is disqualification.

No caddies in accordance with M.G.U. rules for Junior Events.  Copies of additional local rules will be distributed before the event.

SAFETY AND SECURITY

A copy of the procedure for dangerous weather situation will be issued to each competitor at the point of registration.

Please be vigilant with security of equipment and personal belongings. Neither the Midland Golf Union nor the Great Barr Golf Club can accept any responsibility for theft or accident. Competitors should have their own insurance cover.
