Online Entry for 2024 MIDLAND SENIOR PAIRS CHAMPIONSHIP

CONDITIONS:
1. The Championship will be played over one round 18 holes.
2. Entrants must have attained the age of 55 years on or before the day of the competition. Entrants must hold a WHS handicap index of 14.4 or less for entry and use.
3. All players must be member of a golf club affiliated to a recognised Midland County Golf Union.
Entries will be restricted to 66 pairs. In the event of there being an excess of entries, we reserve the right to ballot the highest aggregate handicap parings. Entries in excess of 66 pairs will be placed on a reserve list and used if a vacancy occurs. If the level of entries falls below 50 pairs, then the Committee reserve the right to cancel the event due to the level of competition expenditure required to run the event. If the level of entries falls below 60 pairs, then the Committee reserve the right to amend the competition prize fund accordingly.
4. Starting times will be from 8.00 a.m. Consideration will be given for later starting times when travelling a long distance.
5. The entry fee will be £54.00 per pair. The entry fee does not include a meal, but a full menu will be available.
6. A pair of competitors will not be allowed to win more than one prize for the competition.
7. The main prizes will be decided by gross scores as to the first four for the Championship, further nett prizes will be awarded.
8. A tie for first place will be decided by a card play-off (count back) and will be decided by the last 9, 6, 3 or 1 holes gross scores, if that fails to confirm the winners, the Committee reserve the right to decide the winners.
9. Entry can be made ‘online’ or by post on the entry form downloadable is on the Midland Golf Union website, www.midlandgolfunion.co.uk All entries must be complete online or in the possession of the Administrator (for postal entries) no later than the closing date. Late or incomplete entry forms or entries without the entry fee, will not be accepted.
10. The ‘starting sheet’ will be posted on the MGU website, www.midlandgolfunion.co.uk and emailed to entrants. If you require a hard copy, please include a SAE with your postal entry.
11. The Committee reserves the right to refuse any entry without giving a reason.
12. All disputes will be decided by the Midland Golf Union Championship Committee or delegated Officers, whose decision will be final.
13. In the event of a player having to withdraw from the event, the player is requested to find a replacement and notify the administrator as soon as possible, the entry fee will NOT be refunded if the player withdraws after the closing date.
14. Neither the Host Club nor the Midland Golf Union can accept any responsibility for theft and accidents, and competitors
must have their own insurance cover.
15. Players must protect themselves in Health and Safety matters, especially should there be a danger from lightning when play must stop immediately and not be resumed until danger has passed. Furthermore, play must stop immediately on hearing a single long blast of a klaxon and not be resumed until two short klaxon blasts, repeated, are heard.
