Online Entry for 2024 MIDLAND SENIOR SPRING CHAMPIONSHIP

CONDITIONS
1. The Championship will be played over one round of 18 holes.
2. Entrants must have attained the age of 55 years on or before the day of the Championship. Entrants must hold a WHS handicap index of 14.4 or less for ENTRY and USE.
3. All players must be member of a golf club affiliated to a Midland County Golf Union.
4. Entries will be restricted to 120 players. In the event of there being an excess of entries, we reserve the right to ballot the higher handicaps in the various groups.
5. Starting times will be from 8.00 a.m. Consideration will be given for later starting times when travelling a long distance.
6. The administration of the event shall be under the auspices of the Midland Golf Union and shall be organised and run by the Midland Golf Union Championship Committee in accordance with the Rules of Golf and the requirements of the Midland Gold Union.
7. The round will be an acceptable score for handicapping.
8. In the event of a player having to withdraw after the start sheet has been published, the entry fee will NOT be refunded.
9. All disputes shall be decided by the Midland Golf Union Championship Committee or delegated Officers.
10. The EG hard card requirement for 2010 conforming grooves & punch marks does not apply.
11. Entries to be made on Online or on the Official Entry Form and must be accompanied by the Entry Fee of £38.00 per player and a stamped addressed envelope if you require a hard copy of the start sheet. They must be in the possession of the Midland Golf Union Championship Chairman no later than the closing date (see below). Late or incomplete entry forms or entries without the entry fee will not be accepted.
12. Players must protect themselves in all Health and Safety matters, especially should there be a danger from lightning when play must stop immediately and not be resumed until the danger has passed. Furthermore, play must stop immediately on hearing a single long blast of a klaxon and not be resumed until two short klaxon blasts are heard.
13. The use of buggies is prohibited unless supported by a medical certificate. See Midland Golf Union Transportation Policy for more information.
14. The entry list and start sheets will be displayed on the MGU website (Seniors Section and Competitions page).
15. The lowest aggregate gross scores from the Midland Senior Spring and the Midland Senior Autumn for any player 65 years and over on the date of the Midland Senior Spring (20th May 2024) shall be presented with the "Brian Morris Trophy".
16. Prizes will be awarded as follows: 1 to 5 gross in Age Group A, 1 to 5 gross in Age Group B, 1 to 2 Nett in Age Group A, 1 to 2 Nett in Age Group B, Brian Morris Trophy individual winner on the day. (Only one prize per person except Brian Morris trophy).
