The Competition is open to Boys with an amateur status who are under the age of 18 on 1^st January 2017 and hold a CONGU ‘active’ handicap of 5 or under and whose “Home Club” is affiliated to one of the following County Golf Unions:

Cambridgeshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire, Shropshire & Herefordshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire.

For 'Online' entries all boys under 18 years of age on the 1st July 2017 must submit a PARENTAL CONSENT form . Entries will NOT be accepted unless completed.

Entry to the Boys Amateur Championship has now closed. Any further entries will be placed on reserve on a first come first served basis. The reserve list will be published and players allocated a place as they become available.

CATERING

Club house to open at 6:30am

Bacon rolls and coffee will be available for purchase on arrival at £….. Each

Lunch will be provided for the players (Sandwiches, banana & squash) as part of the entry fee.

A general bar menu will be available for the purchase of food and drinks.

 

DRESS REGULATIONS

Clubhouse: Smart casual, collared shirts (No jeans, trainers or waterproofs)

Jacket and tie required in the dining room

NO MOBILES IN CLUBHOUSE

Course: Normal golfing attire, No shorts for MGU junior events.

In the event of a heatwave if shorts are worn they must be with long socks

 

MGU ADMINISTRATION

Locality of MGU desk: Lobby near doors off first tee

Course planners are available at a cost of £5.00

In the event of severe weather there are some shelters on the course: Wooden huts on 13th, 5th tee and 15th tee

 

THE COURSE

Players should be aware there are public rights of way on the following holes:  3rd, 4th, 5th, 8th 10th, 12th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th and 18th.

 

PRACTICE

The club have kindly agreed to allow a practice round for competitors at a special rate of £10.00 all other visitors will be charged a visitors green fee rate of £90.00 or £60.00 with a county card.

Practice rounds are available after 19^th June for registered competitors and should be booked through Sarah Holroyd, Club Manager on 0121 445 1994. 

Practice rounds are not available on Saturdays. Not before 1pm on any Tuesday, and not before 11am on Sundays.
