2012 Midland Closed Championship
Our first major championship of the year, the Midland Closed, was held on a warm sunny day at Robin Hood Golf Club on Saturday 12th May 2012.
The day was won by one of the 'Oldest Swingers in Town' David Gibson of Cosby GC with rounds of 74 and 71 on a very testing course.
The 'Midland Club Team Championship' was won by the Cosby pairing of David Gibson and Alastair Kinnaird with a total of 295.
After all the recent rain lately Andy and his team produced the course in magnificent condition, with many players quoting' that they were the best greens they had played on in ages'. Our thanks to Andy for all his efforts.
The catering was first class with our thanks going to Paul, Anna and their staff who looked after us so well throughout our time there.
Finally our thanks to the Executive and Members of Robin Hood for hosting the event and helping to make it such a successful Championship.
