2017 MIDLAND SENIOR CLOSED AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP
and
THE MIDLAND SENIOR CLUB TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
to be played over 18 holes on the course of LINKS (NEWMARKET) GOLF CLUB - CAMBRIDGESHIRE on Wednesday 26th July 2017

Entrants must have attained the age of 55 years on or before the day of the Championship. Hold a CONGU ‘active’ handicap and the limit will be 7 for Age Group 55-59; 8 for 60-64; 11 for 65-69; 12 for 70-74; and 15 for age 75 and over.
Entry Fee £35 per player. Club Team £10.00 per pair (optional)
CLOSING DATE: Noon on MONDAY 10th JULY 2017
Entry fee will not be returned for any withdrawal after closing date.

CATERING
Bacon rolls & coffee will be available to purchase in the clubhouse from 7:30am onward for £4.00
A hot meal of Beef & Ale pie, chips, peas + Fruit crumble & custard will be provided for all players after they have completed their round and is included within the entry fee.
In addition the club can provide a full English breakfast at £6.00 on a cash sale basis.
DRESS REGULATIONS
Clubhouse: Smart casual, collared shirts (No waterproofs)
Course: Normal golfing attire, tailored shorts with white sport socks (no trainer/ankle socks).
MGU ADMINISTRATION
The registration desk will be located in the main bar area by the entrance doors
HEALTH & SAFETY
There are wooden shelters on the course on the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 11th and 17th holes.
THE COURSE
There are distance yardage markers in the form of blue posts at 150 yards to centre of greens.
Players should be aware there is a public rights of way through the middle of course near 17th tee and 6th fairway.

PRACTICE
The club have kindly agreed to competitors only having a courtesy practice round at any time after the closing date of 10th July by arrangement through the pro shop. Play is not possible at weekends.
